The challenge

Luxury retail across regions means supporting different payment methods, merchant configurations, and localized storefront behavior. Changes also need to move through multiple commerce environments with clear verification and rollback procedures.

MCM’s SFCC program combined these regional requirements with ongoing storefront development and production support.

My role

As SFCC Team Lead and Release Manager through AIOPSGROUP, I combined engineering leadership with hands-on implementation, defect resolution, and release delivery for MCM Worldwide.

Regional checkout and payments

I implemented and maintained payment integrations including Adyen, CyberSource, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal, WeChat Pay, and 3D Secure. This involved regional merchant configuration, fraud controls, and diagnosing payment behavior across environments.

The work required understanding the complete checkout flow: how the storefront collects payment information, how authorization is handled, and how failures are investigated when an order cannot complete.

Release engineering across regions

I owned practical release engineering across Git and CI/CD, Business Manager configuration promotion, cutover verification, and rollback planning. I continued developing and resolving defects alongside that coordination work.

My broader contributions covered storefront functionality, localization, integrations, and production support across EU, APAC, and US environments.

Making failures easier to investigate

I improved visibility into checkout and integration failures through Splunk and Google Tag Manager event instrumentation. This supported diagnosis across the storefront and its external dependencies.
